Shades of Pride

Shades of Pride is a not-for-profit agency formed to create opportunities to acknowledge, celebrate and include the diversity of North Carolina’s African American LGBTQ community.

The agency will also work to deliver programs that increase awareness, prevention and control of HIV/AIDS, diabetes, breast and prostate cancer and other health disparities affecting minority populations.

We believe that the effective delivery of these objectives relies on collaboration with all North Carolina’s citizens, public and private sectors and welcome partnerships in this effort.

Are you an Ambassador?

Triangle Black Pride 2010 would not have been successful without the help of our Founder's Circle members who pledged their support for Shades of Pride's effort to create a space for the Triangle's LGBTQ community and its allies to be celebrated and honored.

 

This year, we are seeking Ambassadors!  We are looking for supporters to guarantee that the efforts and results experienced last year continue to grow for many years to come.

 

Why should you be an Ambassador?

The LGBTQ community takes notice of its allies and supporters and what better way to reinforce your commitment to supporting the Triangle’s LBGTQ community than through giving to the Shades of Pride’s Black Pride celebration. Your contribution, regardless of size, will assist in the delivery of Pride components designed with you in mind. No amount is too small, or commitment too large, to show your support of Shades of Pride's message and mission.
